As we approach the end of 2024, 826CHI is looking ahead to a significant milestone: next year, 826CHI will celebrate 20 years of empowering young writers across Chicago. Together, we’ve built a community where youth voices are not only heard but celebrated, equipping students with the tools to write their own stories and dream up new worlds of possibility. This crucial and necessary work would not be possible without you.
As part of our commitment to adapt and grow, we’re thrilled to introduce an exciting new chapter in our journey. For the 2024-2025 school year, 826CHI will be bringing our signature programs directly into schools and communities across Chicago. Through this new approach, 826CHI will be able to reach more students across the city, strengthen community ties, and create a flexible and responsive program that meets students where they are, creating greater access to enriching and high-quality arts programming for thousands of young people.
Together, we can make 826CHI’s 20th anniversary a year of celebration, joy, and creative expression for young writers across our city.
