Dear 826CHI Community,
We want to express our sincere gratitude for your unwavering support of 826CHI and the students we serve. Since July, over 400 students have flooded our writing lab with laughter, learning, creativity, and storytelling, and 180 of our high schoolers crafted compelling, authentic essays for their college applications.
Your contribution helped serve over 2,200 students in the past year as they wrote their own paths forward and made their voices heard as published authors. Today, we are in urgent need of your support to continue our programs and provide stability for our students, families, and schools.
As an organization, we are still grappling with the reverberations of the pandemic, and some of our critical funding has not come through. 826CHI needs to raise $130,000 by December 31st to continue delivering our critical tuition-free writing, tutoring, and publishing programs.
Last year at this time, you helped our community raise $80,000! To reach our new goal and close our funding gap, we need our supporters to stretch their giving and connect us with new donors.
